The BJP Youth Ranch has five registered American Quarter Horses that are used in our Therapeutic Equestrian Program. The horses are sheltered in stalls when weather is bad, otherwise they have 17-acre pasture with a shelter to roam in, with larger pastures available for grass rotation. The stalls are attached to the outside of our indoor arena where we have our riding lessons. Whether the horses are in their stalls or out in the pasture, the Horse Coordinator brings the horses to the riding arena before the lessons, where our dedicated team of volunteers prepares the horses for the lesson.
